but at what cost?

Even before we got engaged I always wondered how we would ever be able to afford a real wedding. After we got engaged and I stated how much I thought it would cost us at least caused our first wedding fight. I had put so much work in to researching places that would even begin to be affordable, I just wanted the nicest wedding possible. So needless to say we both needed to come to some realizations - for me that it IS just ONE day and ONE party and it's over. And for him to realize that I had been waiting a LONG time for this to come. In the end he was right and I would marry him anywhere. And at the end of it all - it truely is OUR day - so it should be about both of us and what we want as a couple and who we want to surround ourselves with as we step into the next chapter of our lives together.

So I got back to work researching even harder - and I managed to find a wonderful photographer and a venue right out of my dreams. We pulled all our resources and with much love and support from our family and friends, I realized that we could make this happen. I would do just about anything to make this day special for the both of us and I couldn't be happier that things are finally starting to come together. THANK YOU - to all our family and friends - you are such genrous and gracious persons and we couldn't be more grateful.

So if you're planning a wedding and the funds are low keep in mind that it really is just one day, and think of who you really want to be surrounding yourselves with on that special day. Don't be afraid to ask family and friends to help you out financially or otherwise - you might be surprised at their answers. And most of all, remember that at the end of the day it is about you and him and a life together - as long as you both shall live......
